Mad Mica's True Red Blend is a simple, ready-to-use blend of mica and pigments that produces a stable, pure red hue in any clear base. Don't judge this colorant by its tint in powder form; when added to a clear soap base, the vibrant color will turn your soap into a rich red hue.

Soap Making Notes:
We do not recommend using True Red Blend in white soap bases or in formulas containing titanium dioxide. Although it's a powerful blend of pigments and mica, white soap bases often contain titanium dioxide, which turns true reds into pinks. For best results with MP melt-and-remake soap, use a clear soap base.

Note: We do not recommend the use of mica powder in candles.

Recommended usage rate of soap:

• Melt & Pour: ½ teaspoon per pound of soap base
  
  • Note: White soap base will always create a soft color.
• Cold/Hot Process: 1½-2 teaspoons per pound of oil or 2½ - 3 grams per pound of batter
