Product Description
Cinnamon Leaf Natural
Spicy, woody, clove, balsamic
Cinnamon leaf is distilled from the leaves of the cinnamon tree and has a fragrance similar to clove buds.
If you want the full cinnamon flavor, you should use cinnamon bark.
It is known as a mite, bed bug and mosquito repellent scent and is also great as a spray.
Cinnamaldehyde, the main component of cinnamon leaf oil, is prone to rancidity, so it can be stored for a longer period of time if refrigerated.
Cinnamon leaf oil is obtained by steam distillation after partially drying the leaves and twigs of the cinnamon tree, Cinnamomum zelanicum. Sri Lanka has the largest output, with an annual output of about 200 tons. Cinnamon leaf is a reddish-brown to dark brown liquid with a pungent odor and aroma reminiscent of lilac buds. It contains the highest amount of eugenol (approximately 70-83%) and is used primarily as an essence in spicy oriental perfumes and candies.
